♔ :: Personality :: Ren is a go-getter, friendly and energetic young man. He can get competitive whether it be sports or whoever can be the first one to get to class. Ren can also be a very stubborn person and likes to think he's rarely wrong about things. He is also know to have a horrible temper especially when things don't go his own way, sure he can blow up in your face over something so trivial, but he's not the kind of guy to hold a grudge, so you can usually count on him asking forgiveness after a fight once he cools off. But ever since he transferred to Mihashi High School, he's been working on keeping his temper in check. And now that he's enrolled in Heiten High School he still tries to keep his anger under control, but with the way things had been going his own way, his patience has been running thin since then. Ren also is known to be embarrassed about showing public displays of affection, becoming uneasy and uncomfortable whenever the situation arises.

♔ :: History ::
Ren is a half Japanese-American child who's father is from California and his mother from Osaka, Japan. Ren also has a little sister named, Reina, who's 3 years younger than him, and they were both born and raised in Osaka. Ren transferred to Mihashi High School for gentlemen, in hopes to repent from his old ways and to become a respectful young man. Ren is an ex-delinquent who got into fights frequently due to his short-temper and brash personality. It all went downhill from there when he started to unknowingly pick fights with gangs that knew some yakuza, and one day it got so bad that one of the fights involved his sister's well-being. That's when he realized things needed to be changed, and he gave up street fights altogether.

After his first year at his old high school in Osaka, he decided to transfer to a school that sounded promising called, Mihashi High School for gentlemen. He was hoping that by attending to that school, it would help him become a better person, so while he was there, Ren worked towards being friendly and dependable. He was willing to be a helping hand when needed, and he stood up for people who got picked on. Ren was and still continues to be a hard worker and he gets determined when he has goals set, and can be stubborn. Sometimes his old habits will slip when he doesn't watch his temper.

During his time at Mihashi, he had met a colorful bunch of people and out of all of them, two certain boys had caught his attention. A few things happened after another and he quickly found himself falling for the both of them. But being the young, inexperienced and confused teenage boy he was, he found himself struggling to make a choice between the two of them. In the end Ren made his decision, gaining a 'lover' but losing a friend, and through all the hurt feelings and guilt, he decided to take a whole semester off from school, withdrawing himself from any other drama or awkward situations that might happen while at school. And one of the few times in his life, that was one of the most cowardly things he had done, using that down time from school earning money and gaining work experience from odd-ended jobs and the like. Despite a promise he made by not getting into fights while he was gone from school, he had started to slip down that road again on occasion, feeling like it helped with his frustrations if he bashed a few heads in from time to time, but he only did it in moderation trying to not get out of hand with it.

And eventually, just before the new school semester started, Mihashi High had shut down their school, leaving Ren no choice but to repeat a year at the new school recommended by the old administration called, Heiten High School. He applied there without a fuss, but little did he know the school's true principal was a terrifying nemesis he would rather avoid to no end, otherwise he wouldn't have enrolled in the first place. So now that it was a fresh new start for him, Ren blindly believed he was escaping all the troubles from his old school, not knowing the familiar faces he would soon meet again at Heiten High.

♔ :: Extra ::
-Concerning romance, Ren is dense and oblivious to any kind of romantic advances made on him. He takes it as a friendly vibe, which makes it harder for him to get the "hint" that you're flirting with him, which can be frustrating, so you'd have to make it clear that you're interested in him. But he will love you forever if you can make a mean meal...or two.

-Due to his past ways, his studies have lacked significantly so he's been playing catch up in that department and kicked it into overdrive since attending Mihashi High. Despite him being slow in class, he's willing to focus on his studies in order to get good marks on his tests. Ren is willing to stay after school to get tutored if he needs the extra help or go over to a buddy's place for a study session. He works hard as much as he plays hard : ) ...and he continues to try and do his best, now that he's attending Heiten High.

-Ren used to be all about helping people out and selflessly throwing himself into trouble's way, just to save people who can't help themselves. But towards the end of his time at Mihashi, he noticed that being nice to people only got him into more trouble. So now, Ren is not so willing to be a 'hero' anymore, saving himself the trouble of getting caught into drama, or gaining himself anymore unwanted admirers just because he was doing them a favor by being nice to them.

-Ren's hair used to be long and orange when he attended Mihashi High, but he decided to go with his natural hair color and cut it short just before he enrolled in Heiten High.

-Being raised in Osaka he naturally speaks in a kansai-dialect, and by having an American father, Ren is also bilingual in English and Japanese.
